 Founded in 1997, FDI operates as a grower, distributor and marketer of fresh produce to customers worldwide. The Dominican Republic and Mexico are the main sources of produce supply. Our core product line, avocados, are sold to wholesale, retail and foodservice markets in the United States, Canada, Europe, Hong Kong, and Japan and South America. Because of our long-standing associations with wholesalers and retailers in Europe and Japan, we also serve as an export agent for domestic produce suppliers looking to expand their customer base via international destinations. With our fields and contracted growers, we are enabled to distribute fruits and vegetables to wholesale, retail and foodservice customers in key overseas destinations including Japan, England and France. |  |

FDI is headquartered in Ventura, California. Here sales, import/export and office support staff oversee all produce procurement, transportation and sales efforts.
An FDI subsidiary office is located in Uruapan, Michoacan Mexico. In addition, we operate distribution centers in Denver, CO; McAllen, TX; Laredo, TX; Houston, TX; Vineland, NJ; Los Angeles, CA and Pompano Beach, FL. FDI is licensed under the Perishables Agricultural Commodities Act and holds comprehensive import permits. |
